Wooden Keepsake Box

The idea for our Wooden Keepsake Boxes came from my desire to store memories in a tidy, pretty way. I have three kids who all bring home treasures from time to time, and while I tuck most of their school papers into their School Memory Books, I sometimes have projects that don't fit. Or I have or medals from their latest Ninja Competitions, or drawings that they made me that can't hang out on the fridge forever.

So I began thinking about keepsake boxes that could hold all these treasures, stand the test of time, and still look good on my shelf.

After some research, I found a company that makes wooden boxes in Idaho. I had them customize a box just for Nuts & Bolts, with "keepsakes" engraved in the sliding lid, slightly rounded edges and a metal nameplate attached to the front. The result is exactly what I had hoped for!
