Free Printable Teacher Appreciation Card & Gift Card Holder
When is Teacher Appreciation Week?
When I had one kid, I usually knew the answer to this question. Not only did I know when the week was, but I had time to run to Target and put together a cute little gift basket full of adorable goodies.
But, three kids later?
Don’t ask me when Teacher Appreciation Week is - or Spring Break or the last day of school. I haven’t a clue, and I certainly haven’t had time to put together a gift for anyone.
(FYI, Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8-12, 2023 in case you’re still waiting for the answer!)
But just because my life became busier and much less manageable, doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate teachers! Let’s be honest - they deserve so much more than they get credit for. They are not just educators, but role models, and cheerleaders and club leaders and social counselors and life-skill instructors, and I am SO thankful for the ways they pour into my kids and keep them in check when I can’t.
For that reason, I am happy to shower them with gifts and make sure that it includes some element of thoughtfulness. These days, this generally means a gift card with a handwritten note (which, bonus, handwritten thank you notes are an excellent gratitude practice for kids - and we have lots of options).
This year, I thought it would be fun to create a gift card holder and thank you card in one - it doesn’t get much easier to give a meaningful teacher gift than that!
I also wanted to make it in a few designs so it was applicable for both male and female teachers, and for other occasions as well. And of course, I'm making it free for you to print, download and gift!
I designed a little foldable envelope that a gift card will perfectly tuck into, but also doubles as a place for kids to write a thank you note. It’s a fill-in-the-blank style thank you card that will help your kids say something meaningful to their favorite teacher or teachers.
It works great for elementary aged-kids (even as young as preschool/kindergarten thanks to the prompts) as well as middle school and high school. Shoot, I might even print some to use as an adult…
It can be hard to find non-juvenile looking Teacher Appreciation Printables; something that a high school student wouldn’t be embarrassed to hand to a teacher! So we kept the designs modern and a bit more grown up. And we included feminine and masculine designs.
